IN MEMORIUM
DR. STEPHEN KENT BEDWELL, Ph.D
4/3/1942 - 8/6/2019
The Family of our beloved Dr. Stephen Kent Bedwell, Ph.D., regretfully announces his peaceful passing to that great mustering point in the sky.
How does one sum up a life of such depth and constant wonder?
Is it measured in the substance of their days,
work, school, honors, awards, lost in the haze of those days passing?
Or in the tiny gestures, impossible to measure,
by which a soul sang, a heart fluttered and swelled with pride and love,
a hand lifted and gave comfort,
a spirit laughed and spread laughter.
What will be missed is not accomplishments, though many,
but the breath, warmth, sorrows, joys, and compassion, radiated all in plenty,
measured by an infinite glass of borrowed time,
in its final ledger made sublime.
Please join Mrs. Bernadette Ann Derezinski Bedwell, and the Bedwell Family, in a celebration of life to honor Dr. Stephen Kent Bedwell, Ph.D. Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, son, friend, mentor, former Deputy Sheriff, formal and informal Clinical Psychologist, and always 101st Airborne Paratrooper. His impact, inspiration, and generosity of spirit will be remembered by many. His kindness, wisdom, determination, wit, and gentle, loving presence will be missed forever by many more. Dr. Bedwell is survived by Bernadette Derezinski Bedwell, his Wife of 53 years, children Natalie Bedwell Kelly, MD (Aaron), Anthony Bedwell, Esq. (Lissa), Vincent Bedwell (Michelle), Sister Chloeann Bedwell Johnson (Gregory), Brother Donald Bedwell (Polly), nine wonderful grandchildren and a blessedly large and loving, extended family and dear friends.
