Shirley Ann (Morris) Tripp

Shirley Ann Tripp, 78, of Battle Creek, passed away on April 26, 2023, with her family by her side. 

Shirley was born on August 23, 1944, to John and Dorothy (Hosler) Morris in Battle Creek, MI. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. She worked at various factories throughout her life. Following retirement, she purchased Dottie's Cafe. On November 18, 1995, she married James Tripp. James preceded her in death on September 29, 2008.

She was an avid bowler. She loved the outdoors and living on Mill Lake. She loved to travel and ride motorcycles throughout the countryside. She was very well known for only wearing "comfies".

Shirley is survived by three Daughters, Donna Bradley, Dorothy (Mike) Sells, Michelle (Chris) Dempski; nine grandchildren, Shannon Sells, Jamie Sells, Natasha Sells, Shane Sells, Dustin Miller, Amber Miller, Codi Bradley, Layana Nino, Mylee Nino; fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Morris and Robert Morris; and her granddaughter, Angel Nino.

Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 2828 Capital Ave SW, Battle Creek, MI 49015. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held in Reese Cemetery.
