Marjorie L. (Nelson) Thompson

Marjorie L. Thompson, 96, of Marshall died on Monday July 20, 2020 at Maplewood of Marshall.

Marge was born on June 23, 1924 in Ottosen, Iowa, to Omeal and Lily (Hellicksen) Nelson. She graduated from high school in Iowa.  On February 1, 1947 she married James W. Thompson Sr. in Iowa.  He preceded her in death in 1988.

Marge started working for Fabricators Marshall which later became Trim Parts when she retired in the mid-1980s.   She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.  Marge enjoyed art and was an avid painter.  She loved the outdoors working in her garden.

She is survived by her children, Jim (Jeanne) Thompson Jr, Debbie Rollo, and Bobby Thompson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Peggy Snyder July 16, 2020; and a  sister Eleanor Brown.
