Joseph "Joe" A. Jones, Jr.

Joseph "Joe" A. Jones, Jr. 85, of Bellevue, Michigan passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan.

He was born on April 23, 1938 to Joseph and Claudie (Robertson) Jones in Jesup, Georgia.

On April 28, 1960, Joseph married Rubbie Aldridge in Jesup, Georgia. Soon after their wedding, they moved to the Battle Creek area until they retired to Bradenton, Florida. Joe and Rubbie then decided to move back to Bellevue, Michigan to be closer to family. Joe was a member of the Battle Creek Moose Lodge for many years. He was a man of many talents, including racing cars, golfing and fishing.

Joseph "Joe" is survived by his children, Claudia (Jeno) Guzman of Bellevue, Michigan and Lyndon Jones of Battle Creek, Michigan; his 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; his siblings, Vivian L. McBride of Jesup, Georgia, Emma L. Gleckler of Brunswick, Georgia, Marica A. Knowles of Jesup, Georgia, William D. Jones of Brunswick, Georgia, David H. Jones of Brentwood, Georgia, James (Barbara) O. Jones of Odom, Georgia and Ivey (Marlee) V. Jones of Screven, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rubbie Nell Jones, his daughter, Teresa Wilson, his parents, his 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

A Celebration of Life service for Joe will be held at a later date.
