John B. Hamilton

John Bryan Hamilton, 61, of Battle Creek, passed away on December 4, 2021, at Bronson Hospital. He was born on March 21, 1960, to Richard and Evelyn (Samson) Hamilton in Marshall, MI. John was a graduate of Marshall High School, Class of 1978. On September 29, 1979, he married Doreen Hawkins.

John bought his own truck and proudly formed D.L. Hamilton Trucking. He previously worked for Horton Farms and Avery Leasing. John was heavily involved in the FFA, loved antique tractors, going to the races as well as the truck & tractor pulls, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

John is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Doreen; three sons, Brian (Melanie) Hawkins of Pleasant Lake, MI, Bruce (Amanda) Hamilton of Albion, MI, Brent (Rebekah) Hamilton of Battle Creek, MI; five grandchildren, Taylor, Ty, Jade, Zane and Luke; mother, Evelyn Hamilton; two sisters, Marilyn (Jim) Rush and Betty Hamilton. He was preceded in death by Father, Richard S. Hamilton.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021, 2:00pm - 6:00pm & Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 11:00am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, Michigan, 49068 with Jacob Washburn officiating. A graveside service will follow at Porter Cemetery in Convis Township.
