Doris Reva (Hammontree) McWatters

Doris "Dolly" Reva McWatters, 88, of Marshall, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 after a short illness at Medilodge of Marshall.
She was born on August 27, 1932 in Petoskey, Michigan to Leon and Inez (Hoxie) Hammontree. She married Robert W. McWatters on May 27, 1950 in Petoskey, Michigan and then moved to the Homer area.
Dolly was known for making her beautiful afghans and blankets, knitting, crafting and teaching Bible studies. She especially loved to sing in the choir at West Eckford Bible Church. Dolly always had a large garden that she tended to, which included vegetables and flowers. She was an avid reader and had fun completing crossword puzzles.
Dolly is survived by her children; Mary Ann (Leonard) Drumm of Huntington, Indiana, Susan (Robert) Aldrich of Eckford, Michigan, Kathy Poljansek of Coldwater, Michigan, Chris McWatters of Newport, Tennessee and Robert (Bonnie) McWatters of Mission, British Columbia, her 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 20 great- great- grandchildren; her sisters; Marcia Butters of Homer, Michigan and Jean Rauch of East Jordan, Michigan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Robert McWatters, her second husband Gerald McWatters, her two grandchildren, her 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
Visitation for Dolly will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 11:00 until 12 Noon at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 303 S Hillsdale St Homer, MI 49245.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 12 Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Perry officiating. Private interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Homer Township, Michigan.
