Charles "C-Note" Irving Patterson

Charles “C Note" Irving Patterson, Jr., 35, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia.

He was born on June 1, 1988 to Charles and Tracey Clingmon in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Charles worked as a Warehouse Laborer for Target Distribution in Galesburg, Michigan for a few years.

Charles loved to write music and was a local rap artist. He was an excellent artist-mainly with pen and pencil drawings. Charles was the one person who would stop and help any kid that needed it, whether it was a little money or just to talk. He was an incredibly intelligent man, who could fix anything and make it better than it was. He enjoyed reading, cooking, playing basketball and video games. Above all else, his greatest joys were his children and family.

Charles  "C Note" is survived by his loving mother Tracey Clingmon of Battle Creek, Michigan, his father Charles Irving Patterson of Anniston, Alabama; his children, Kemyah Bolden, Charles I. Patterson, Lai'Onna Patterson, Terrence D. Clingmon-Patterson and Amyarah; his significant other, Kathryn Brooks of Battle Creek, Michigan; his step-children, Khloe Brown and Quincy Brown; his siblings, Christopher Irving Patterson, Alexandria Patterson, D. Patterson, Charles Patterson, Jermain Patterson and Lewis Patterson; his maternal grandmother, Wardeen (William) Davis, Sr. and his maternal Grandfather, Willie Jones.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Alice Mae McCray.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 2838 Capital Ave. SW, Battle Creek, Michigan 49015 with funeral services at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Leroy Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan.
