Arlene Wyman

Arlene Helen Wyman, 91, of Athens, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility.

Arlene was born on July 12, 1928 in Athens to Clifford Sunday and Frances (Inman) Himebaugh. She was a graduate of Athens High School. Arlene married Lee R. Wyman on October 12, 1947 and sadly he passed away on September 26, 2019, just short of their 72 ^nd anniversary. She was first and foremost a wonderful homemaker and devoted wife. Arlene also worked for 5 years at Rich Corporation in Battle Creek many years ago. She was a member of Wakeshma Community Church and was a former member of the Athens Lioness Club. She had volunteered at the Wakeshma Community Church Food Pantry for 16 years. Arlene and Lee loved to travel as they went to all 50 states and to many other countries. She loved to bake, especially making lemon cookies. She also enjoyed reading, gardening including flower gardening and bird watching but most of all she will be missed for her love of family and especially her grandchildren.

Arlene is survived by her children; Gary (Lee Ann) Wyman of Bellevue, Tom (Cindy) Wyman of Sandwich, Illinois and Marie (Don) Crapoff of Battle Creek, her 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Lee, her parents and her brother Marvin Sunday.

The family will gather with friends from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, Battle Creek Chapel, 2838 Capital Ave SW, Battle Creek. Funeral services celebrating her life will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Wakeshma Community Church 16732 E UV Ave, Fulton, MI 49052. Interment will follow at Burr Oak Cemetery in Athens. Memorial contributions are requested to Wakeshma Community Church or to Calhoun County Medical Care Facility.
