William Philip Nager, age 90, of Marshall and formerly of Trenton, Michigan died Saturday evening, May 30, 2009 at Verona Adult Foster Care Center.Mr. Nager was born on October 26, 1918 in Detroit to Philip David and Bertha Nager. He lived in the Detroit area the majority of his life, moving to Marshall in 2001. Mr. Nager had been employed as a automotive salesman, and had worked at several Detroit area dealerships. Following his retirement from the automotive industry, he went to work at a Montgomery Wards, selling furniture.Mr. Nager was a former member of the Michigan Sheriff's Association. He was an avid collector of American Civil War and Early Western memorabilia. He also was a former member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and had served as a deacon.He is survived by daughters, Patricia Ann Nager of Marshall and Linda Nager Brandt of California; son, Philip (Casey) Nager of Marshall; granddaughter, Jessica Nitschke; and a brother, Robert "Bob
