William"Bill" Earl Bryant, 64, of Bellevue, MI died on Tuesday, February 28, 2006, peacefully at home. Mr. Bryant was born on August 6, 1941 in Danville, Virginia, to Clyde A. and Pauline F. (Clifton) Bryant. He graduated from George Washington High School, in Danville in 1959. Mr. Bryant earned his journeymen''s card in hot lead printing right out of high school and worked as a hot lead printer for many different newspapers as he traveled across the country, going as far as California. He moved to Muskegon, Michigan in 1967, and worked for the Muskegon Chronicle from 1967 until 1985. After leaving Muskegon, Mr. Bryant moved to the Bellevue-Marshall area where he worked as a materials buyer for Michigan Paper Board Company from 1986 until his illness in 2006. Mr. Bryant earned a private pilot''s license and enjoyed flying airplanes. A hobby in which he enjoyed doing for many years. He enjoyed restoring and working on street rod cars, reading, and hot lead printing. He just recently got his 1932 Ford 5 window coupe back from being built. He was able to drive it a few weeks before putting it away for the winter. Mr. Bryant was a very caring man and was willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially adored his children and grandchildren. Mr. Bryant is survived by; a son and daughter-in-law, William Kevin and Vicki Bryant of Columbus, Ohio, a daughter and son-in-law, Shoni Gae''l and Lance Landis of Homer. He is also survived by; three grandchildren T`ea, Macen, and Meadow Landis of Homer, two nephews; Bryan and Richie Jackson of Danville, Virginia, and a special dog Jake. He was preceded in death by his parents, a infant brother Ramon James Bryant, a sister Joann Jackson, and a special dog Shadow. A memorial service take at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Saturday April 1, 2006. A social gathering will take place following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Calhoun Area Humane Society.
