Virginia M. Vincent

Virginia May Vincent, 93, of Battle Creek, passed away on June 24, 2024, at home in Battle Creek, Michigan surrounded by the love of her family. 

She was born on September 21, 1930, to George L. and Melissa A. (McNees) Conine in Battle Creek. On May 11, 1952, Virginia married Howard J. Vincent at a family home in Battle Creek and built their family life together there. She worked at Weston Biscuit and Kellogg’s for a short time and then invested her remaining years as a homemaker. Virginia dearly loved her family; she especially cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, camping and all of nature, but especially birds and feeding the deer through the winter months, also crocheting, and reading books.

Virginia is survived by her children, Sue Crotser of Battle Creek, MI, David H. Vincent of Battle Creek, MI, Gena R. Vincent of Battle Creek, MI, and Melissa J. (Jeffrey) Broughton of Climax, MI; 8 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard in 2009; parents, George and Melissa Conine; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Services have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 2838 Capital Ave SW, Battle Creek, Michigan, 49015, where visitation will be held Monday, July 1, 2024, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm & Tuesday, July 2, 2024, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm, with Jack Anderson officiating. A committal service will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1490 E. Michigan Ave, Battle Creek, MI 49014.
