Veronica Ann (McCall) Rizor

Veronica “Roni” Ann Rizor, 73, of Bellevue, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 3, 1949 to Alexander “Jack” and Vera (Herring) McCall in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from Pennfield High school.

On February 27, 1970 she married the love of her life and best friend, Duane Rizor. They were blessed with two daughters, Melissa “Misi” and Renae.

Veronica was the longtime owner of the Plezall Restaurant and Lounge in Bellevue from 1974 until 2013. She took great pride in her business and loved serving her community and friends.

Playing cards and games, spending time with her kids and grandkids, reading, sitting by her pool, shopping, and pulling pranks on others were some of Veronica’s favorite activities. She will be missed for her sense of fashion and her quirky sense of humor. Above all else, Veronica loved her family.

Veronica is survived by her two daughters; Melissa (Stephen Brown) Rizor of Portage, Michigan and Renae (Scott) Martens of Bellevue, Michigan, her two grandchildren; Elizabeth (KC) Smith of Pennfield Twp., Michigan and Alexander (Kaylee Graves) Martens of Bellevue, Michigan, her sister; Alexis (Dave) Dunmire of Leesburg, Florida, her great-grandchild; Maverick Smith of Climax, Michigan, and her special aunt; Charlotte Franklin of Norris Park, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and her brother, Fred McCall.

A Celebration of Veronica's life will take place at the Bellevue Conservation Club on May 14th beginning at 12 pm ET.
