U. Franklin "Frank" Shirley

U. Franklin “Frank” Shirley, 70, of Cape Coral, Florida and Marshall, Michigan passed away on March 14, 2024 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born on January 23, 1954 to Guffery and Modene (White) Shirley in Marshall. Frank was an avid fisher and loved to ride his prized Harley Davidson motorcycles. He spent his summers in Michigan where he laid his roots but spent his winters at his second home in Florida. Frank played the bass guitar in local bands for many years in his younger days.

Frank is survived by his children, Robert (Corrina) Shirley of Myrtle Beach, SC,  Scarlett Shirley of Grand Rapids, Taylor Shirley of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Modene Shirley, Brookelynn Carpenter and Hope Carpenter. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Heather Houvener and brother, Robert H. McCasland.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm with the funeral service at 12:00pm with Pastor Steve Olmstead officiating at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. 

Burial will take place in Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
