Tony Garrett Nickles

Tony Garrett Nickles,63, of Battle Creek, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on January 5, 1959 to Amos Nickles and Maggie  (Sheldon) Wintersteen in Marshall, Michigan. On August 5, 2020 he married Anna Alexia.

He worked as a welder in the Oil Industry for many years, along with being a mechanic. Tony and Anna loved going to garage sales, yard sales and estate sales. He would frequently ask Anna to hop in the car and said we are going on a road trip. It was some of their best times together. He enjoyed watching movies, listening to rock and roll and country music. Taking Anna out to dinner was one of his favorite things to do as well as being with his family.

Tony is survived by his loving spouse; Anna, his step-daughters; Sheiba of Battle Creek, Michigan and Sara of Lowell, Michigan, his siblings; Penny Nickles of Marshall, Michigan, Luella Huggett of Battle Creek, Michigan and Tim Nickles of Concord, Michigan. He is also survived by four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Nickles.

A Celebration of Tony's life will take place at a later date.
