Tia Marie DuBois

Tia Marie DuBois, 42, of Battle Creek, passed away on December 30, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Tia was born on July 11, 1981 to Lester Lee Wheeler and Shelly K. (Simpson) Hendershot in Fort Knox, KY. On May 24, 2008 she married David DuBois. Tia worked for Walmart for several years. She loved camping and spending time with her family and friends. Sometimes, she liked having girls’ nights where they would get together and paint pictures and drink wine. Above all, she was a devoted mother and loved her children with whom she really loved spending her time with at home. Tia is survived by her mother, Shelly (Simpson) Hendershot; husband, David and her three children David K. DuBois, Patricia A. DuBois, Kwenton D. DuBois; brothers, Lester (Katie) Wheeler, Shane (Ashlee) Wheeler; nieces and nephews, Dayton, Geurin, Jensyn, Logan, Isaiah, Elijah and Oliviah. Tia is preceded in death by her fathers, Lester “Pork” Wheeler and David Hendershot; grandmother, Donna Wood; grandfather, Melvin Wood; grandmother, Kitty and several aunts and uncles.

A Celebration of life service will be held January 13th at the Bellevue Conservation Club, 8484 Greenfield Hwy., Bellevue, MI 49021 at 2:00 p.m. There will be food and drinks. The family encourages everybody to being a dish to share if they wish. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
