Terri S. (Tejay Rose) Palmer Koch, 65, of Battle Creek, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.

She was born on July 19, 1957 in Marshall, daughter of the late Lindy F. Palmer and mother and step-father Ella Sue Farmer Robertson and Jerry Robertson joining her Heavenly Father and loved ones awaiting for her at the tree of life with the Lord.

Tejay was the owner of Terri Tots Day Care for many years, and she was also the owner of Terri’s Catering, which served the Battle Creek area.

She loved her flowers and tending to the multiple flower beds around their property. Tejay was a spit fire, full of spirit as she left memories with everyone she met. She will be missed for her selfless acts, Tejay would be the first to step up and help with anything, for anybody. Above all else, Tejay loved and cherished her family, whether it be the trips down to Kentucky or the big cookouts with family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband, soulmate and best friend, William (Bill) James, who she married on November 14, 1992 in Battle Creek, her cherished children; Bradley A. Rose of Battle Creek, Kody J. Palmer of Battle Creek, Daniel (Hilary) Koch of Waterloo, Iowa, John (Brittny) Koch of Evansdale, Iowa and Heather Koch of Cedar Falls, Iowa, her grandchildren; Kylee (Brandon Hale) Rose, Tristen D. Lyle, Xavair Koch, Josephine Koch, John M. Darren, Mason Koch, Andrew Koch, Matthew Koch, Natalie Koch, Kyla Elliott and Kala Reign Werning, her great grandson; Kamryn Hale, her great granddaughter; Klohie Hale, her sisters; Judy (Howard) Phillips, Deb Walters and Diane Kilbourn, her brothers; Larry (Sandy) Palmer, Tim (Penny Renae Wright) Palmer and Vern Hurley, her nephews; Chad Palmer, Justin Palmer, Jeremy (Becka) Palmer and Lance Palmer, her nieces; Leah (Gregg) Edgell, Holly (Aaron) Kirkham, Monica Biven, Elsie Caldwell, Angie (Mike) Keeton and Sarah (Wyatt) Thompson, her special friends; Barb Rudock, Penny Pruitt Wood, Dorene McJunkin and Sheila Riser.

Tejay was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Karen Wintersteen.

Visitation for Tejay will take place on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 10:30 until 12 Noon at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 2838 Capital Ave. SW Battle Creek, Michigan 49015 with the funeral service to take place at 12 Noon at the funeral home. Pastor Howard Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Hicks Cemetery in Pennfield Twp, Michigan.
