Tammi S. (Sparks) Ewing, age 58, of Marshall, MI, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Tammi was raised in Ceresco, MI and a 1980 graduate of Harper Creek High School where she was a member of the Pom Pom and Flag Twirling team, Choir and Theatre. Tammi earned her Bachelor's degree in Special Education from Central Michigan University. Throughout her 35 year teaching career Tammi worked primarily with the Emotionally Impaired and profoundly touched the lives of students and co-workers alike. Tammi worked at Marshall Public Schools, Doris Klaussen Developmental Center, and Starr Commonwealth. She was also an active support parent with the Marshall High School Choir and Theatre Club. Tammi was known for her warm smile, easy laughter, humor, endless energy, creativity, compassion, extraordinary wealth of knowledge and abundance of friends. Above all else, by being a devoted wife, mother, sister and daughter, she considered her greatest blessing to be her family. Tammi is survived by her loving husband Eric Todd Ewing; children TJ Ewing and Colleen Ewing; her mother Margaret Sparks; sister Brenda (Jim) O'Neill; brother Robert (Kim) Sparks; and many cherished nieces and nephews. Tammi was preceded in death by her father Robert T. Sparks, and sister Carmen Hoezee. There will be a visitation from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home officiated by Melanie Johnson.
