Susan “Sue” Frances Taylor, 77, of Albion, passed away on May 9, 2024, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
She was born on November 27, 1946, to Neil and Elizabeth (nee Stanley) Adair in Hastings, Michigan.
Sue was a Registered Nurse and worked for Borgess Hospital, then later as a visiting nurse for Kalamazoo Valley, visiting Veterans at their homes. Sue was dedicated to her patients, and they were always happy to see that Sue was their nurse. She retired after 44 years.
Sue met Charles “Chuck” Taylor at the Lake Odessa County Fair where he was driving horses for her father. They were married on March 19, 1983, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Recently they celebrated their 41st anniversary together in Las Vegas. Together Sue and Chuck owned Taylor Racing Stables. During their summer Michigan fair circuit, Sue acted as a great "manager" for Chuck during their long days of racing. She enjoyed meeting people through their travels while racing their horses in Canada, New York, Ohio, and Indiana. Sue's favorite place to visit was Las Vegas where she and Chuck always stayed at Treasure Island. Sue loved to cook and everything she made was delicious. During her retirement she enjoyed spending time at home playing games on the computer. Her son, Randy and granddaughters, Grace and Tyler were dear to her heart, and Sue adored them. Sue was an all-round loving and caring person who will be missed by all who knew her.
Susan is survived by husband Chuck; son, Randy Brown of Paris, Michigan; granddaughters Grace and Tyler Brown; niece Molly Pelican; nephews Mark Adair and Andrew Adair.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles Adair.
