Shirley Eilene (Groom) Lawcock

Shirley Eilene Lawcock, 90, of Hastings, Michigan, formerly of Ceresco, Michigan for 57 years, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Woodlawn Meadow's Assisted Living in Hastings, Michigan.

She was born on November 18, 1931 to Max and Gladys (Lindsay) Groom in Howell, Michigan.

Shirley was employed with Calhoun County as a Circuit Court County Coordinator for 25 years, retiring in 2009. Prior to the Circuit Court she was a legal secretary for several legal firms in the Marshall area.

She loved to crochet and being outdoors. Shirley and her husband enjoyed traveling to their Northern Michigan cottage but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Shirley is survived by her son; Fred Lawcock, Jr. of Thailand, her grandchildren; Chris (Chad) Worm of Delton, Michigan, Tim Lawcock of Ionia, Michigan, Freddy (Becky) Lawcock of Illinois and Eddie (Julie) Lawcock of Battle Creek, Michigan. She is also survived by her seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her children; James Lawcock, Thomas Lawcock and Greg Lawcock, one sister and one brother.

Visitation for Shirley will take place Tuesday, December 28, 2021, from 9:30 am - 11:00 am at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N. Marshall, Michigan 49068 with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Oakridge Cemetery, Marshall, Michigan.
