Scott Morley Parker, age 55, of Battle Creek died August 24, 2006.Mr. Parker was born on August 19, 1951 in Highland Park, Michigan to Nelson Morgan and Vivian Lucille (Jacobs) Parker. He has been a resident of the Battle Creek area since 1973 moving here from Mississippi. Scott was a graduate of Cloverdale High School in Ripley, Tennessee, class of 1969. A marriage to Andrea Montague ended in divorce. Scotty had been employed as a mechanic for the old Battle Creek Balance''s Harley Davidson, Marhle''s Harley Davidson stores and currently the Battle Creek Harley Davidson store.Motorcycles were Scotty''s passion, he loved everything about them and he gave them his all. His former employer said, "Scotty was a brilliant engineer and excellent mechanic that could fix or make anything". His other hobbies included collecting old antique lanterns. He loved nature and being outdoors and took many camping trips.He is survived by a daughter, Bobbi Jean (Nelson Braendle) Parker of Vicksburg; son, Scott Morgan Parker of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Vivian Parker, Dezmund Braendle and Dexter Braendle; sisters, Judith Britvec of Battle Creek, Marjo Siano of Battle Creek, Dorian Hibbard of Wisconsin, Nella Parker of Hersey, MI, Narda Mead of Battle Creek, Lorre Parker of Battle Creek, Marielle Parker of Battle Creek and Janna VanAuken of Battle Creek; brother, Rhett Parker of Battle Creek; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rorick Parker and Robert Dingledine; sister, Ronna Cunic and a niece, Mariah Parker.Friends may call from 9:00 - 9:00 Tuesday at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00. A funeral service will be held 1:30 Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Battle Creek. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan. Assistance with memorials is available at the funeral home.
