Samantha Shalini Thakur

Samantha Shalini Thakur, 37, of Marshall, passed away on June 4, 2023.

Samantha was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on May 8, 1986, to Shekhar and Anoop (Sharma) Thakur. Samantha was a substitute teacher for Battle Creek Public Schools.

She is survived by her parents, Shekhar and Anoop Thakur; brother, Sean Thakur; grandmothers, Vidya Thakur and Sharda Sharma; and her uncle, Ranjan Thakur. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Vedanand Thakur and Madajit Sharma.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. A service will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the Langeland Family Cremation Center, 6828 Tall Oaks Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49068, where cremation will follow immediately after the service.
