Samantha "Sam" Danielle Reed

Samantha Danielle Reed, 33, of Bellevue, passed away on May 6, 2024 at Ascension Borgess in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born on December 8, 1990 to James "Jim" (Tracy) Reed and Susan Marie (Harris) Gary in Marshall, MI. She graduated from Marshall High School in 2008. 

Sam loved to work on cars with her dad, Jim. She loved to be outdoors, going camping and fishing was just a couple of her past times she enjoyed. Sam would help her mom, Sue, with the family garden and would also help anyone who needed her help, as she was very generous with her time. Sam didn't complain about anything, and she wasn't afraid to speak her mind. Most important aspect of Sam was that she loved her children.

Sam is survived by her children, Makaiyla Marie Wallace and Camdyan Lee Curtis; dad, Jim Reed; mom, Sue Gary; grandparents, Melvin and Theresa Reed, LaDonna Hoke; siblings, Justina (Tyler Kellogg) Guthrie, Danielle (Andre) Byrd, Sydney Vogel, Aaron (Emily) Reed; aunts and uncles, Frank Harris, Ken  Harris, Dwayne (Laura) Reed, Brian (Michelle) Reed, Lee (Kay) Reed, Karen Harris, Kriste Harris, Cathy (Rick) Vega; and cousins, Colin, Melcomb, Oakley, Colin, Greyson, Ashley (Joe) Hutson, Brooklyn, Evelyn, Lucias, Mallory (Drew) Larson, Harley (Alaina) Harris, Brantley, Hannah (Isaiah), Estelle, Hogan (Gianna) Harris, Joshua Lee VanGoethem. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ronald & Beverly Harris and Donald Hoke.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm at the Convis Township Hall, 19500 15 Mile Rd., Marshall, MI 49068.
