Roy William Kimball, 73, of Battle Creek, MI passed away on April 17, 2021 at Beachfield Adult Foster Care Home in Battle Creek, MI. Roy was born on March 12, 1948 in Marshall, MI. Roy lived in adult foster care most of his life and lead a happy and meaningful life. He resided in Battle Creek the past nine years and his happiest times were spent at Beachfield Adult Foster Care, where they treated him like family. He was active in Alternative Choices of Battle Creek. He loved all action sports, especially football. Roy participated in a bowling league at M-66 Bowl in Battle Creek for many years. He liked to go on car rides with his brother and enjoyed watching 18 wheelers drive by on the road.
Roy is survived by his brothers Sam (Cheryl) Odom Jr. and Thomas L. (Linda) Odom; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard Odom Sr. and Marie L. Kimball Odom; and brothers Gerald Odom, Jimmy Ray Odom, and Robert Odom.
The family will gather with friends on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 12 - 1 p.m. at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall, MI 49068. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, following the visitation on Thursday. Jacob Washburn will officiate the service with interment to follow in Lyon Lake Cemetery.
