Ross E Lipsey

Ross E. Lipsey, age 67 of Marshall, MI passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born November 8, 1950 in Battle Creek, MI the son of Robert and Charlotte (Lautenslager) Lipsey.  Ross was a graduate of Marshall High School, class of '68.  He went on to Western Michigan University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Ross worked in the family appliance business, Lautenslager & Lipsey for most of his life, as well as owning and operating State Street Mercantile in downtown Marshall, and working as an agent for the Detroit News.   Ross enjoyed the outdoors, hunting deer and pheasants, and riding his motorcycle. He was fond of bowling, cards and playing games with his kids.
Ross is survived by his children, Jason Lipsey of Marshall, Ashleigh Lipsey of Lansing; brother, Richard Lipsey; and many cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family will receive friends at the Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Service, Marshall on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 2:00-4:00pm & 6:00-8:00pm.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00am with Pastor James Codde officiating.  Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation at www.diabeteswellness.net.  Friends may send condolences or share a memory at kempffuneralhome.com.
