Rose M. (Adams) Ryan

Rose M. Ryan, 93, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Bronson Hospital in Battle Creek.

She was born on February 27, 1930 to Merle and Anna (Miller) Adams in Albion, Michigan.

On June 10, 1949, Rose married Richard Ryan in Battle Creek, sadly he passed away on December 14, 1994.

Rose was a waitress and cook at Hillcrest Restaurant in Marshall for many years. She volunteered at the Charitable Union in Battle Creek for many years sorting and fixing clothing. Rose was excellent at oil painting, making dolls and other crafts. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, crocheting and quilting.

Rose is survived by her daughters, Kathryn "Kathy" Kerns of Battle Creek, Carol Updegrove of Battle Creek, Marjorie Ruddock of Battle Creek and Marie Booton of Marshall; her grandchildren, Dorothy (Chris) Ramsey-Owen of Battle Creek, Lesa (Christopher) Hecht of Battle Creek, Michelle Halcomb of Marshall, Danny Lee  Ruddock of Battle Creek and Steve (Jaclyn) Booton of Marshall. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents. her husband, Richard J. Ryan, her granddaughter, Rose King, her siblings, Doris Ridenour, Oral Adams and Dick Adams.

Visitation for Rose will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services 723 US Hwy. 27 N, Marshall, Michigan 49068 with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Homer.
