Ronald "Ron" Lynn Brott, 70, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
He was born on September 16, 1953 to Lewis and Gail (Irish) Brott in Marshall, Michigan.
On April 29, 2006 Ron married Linda Pennock in Battle Creek, Michigan. Ron worked as a machine operator for Eaton Corporation in Marshall, Michigan for over 25 years, retiring in 2008. He was a member of the LeClear Connection Club along with his wife Linda.
Ron loved the outdoors, whether fly-fishing or camping at his favorite place in Watersmeet, Michigan. Playing golf, completing crossword puzzles, going for a ride in the country and watching the Green Bay Packers along with Detroit Teams were some of his favorite hobbies. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and tinkering around the house. He could literally fix anything, and the family could depend on his ability to help in any way. You could always count on Ron to spin a good story or two when there was a group of people around. Above all else, Ron's greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren.
Ron is survived by his loving spouse of 18 years Linda, his mother, Gail Brott of Battle Creek, Michigan, his children; Richard (Brandi) Brott of Marshall, Michigan, Benjamin (Emma) Brott of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Carl (Beth) H. Walters III of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Christa (Nasser) Beitello of Battle Creek, Michigan; his grandchildren, Hartley Brott, Mallory Brott, Nora Brott, C.J. Walters, Aubrey Walters, Sam Beitello and Emily Beitello; his sister's, Roxanne Dougherty of Battle Creek, Michigan and Julie (Michael) Ingle of Battle Creek, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Brott and his daughter, Amanda Bain.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 North, Marshall, Michigan 49068.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, 11:00 am at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, Marshall.
Burial will take place at Lyon Lake Cemetery.
