Ronald Caudill

Ronald “Moxie’’ Caudill, 69, of Marengo Township, died on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, unexpectedly at his home.

Ron was born on February 21, 1952, in Eaton Rapids to Lafey and Azel (Johnson) Caudill.  He graduated from Springport High School in 1970. On August 22, 1981 he married Greta Sue Newsome at Clarence Township Hall.  She preceded him in death on September 25, 2019.

Ron started working for Aeroquip in Jackson which was later bought by the Eaton Company.  Ron retired in October 2019 after working for 46 years. When he was younger, he enjoyed playing softball, and later years enjoyed karaoke at family gatherings.   Ron loved corvettes and traveling to casinos. He will be remembered for his dry humor and his love for his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Nicole (Howie) Day; granddaughters, Dakodah (Cody) Hill, Baileigh (Brittzen Heisler) Proteau, Zoey Butters, Hanna and Madison Day; great-granddaughter on the way; four siblings, Shelby (George) Newsome, Emma Laroe, Clotine Hamon, Jack (Ardith) Caudill; brother-in-laws, Lynn (Jill) Newsome, Rocky (Cynthia) Newsome, and Ricky (Dorothy) Newsome; and special work friends, Bill Duggan and Robert Sharp.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; siblings, Ochal, Donald, Lucille, Holean, Patty, Betty Sue, Kelly.

Visitation will take place from 3-6pm on Tuesday August 17, 2021, at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall MI 49068.  Funeral services will take place at 11am on Wednesday August 18, 2021, at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall MI 49068. Interment will follow at Albion Memory Gardens.  Memorial contributions are requested to Suicide Awareness Voices of Education (SAVE).  Memorials may be mailed to the Kempf Funeral Home PO Box 519 Marshall MI 49068 for delivery to the charity.
