ROBERT MARK SCHWALM Robert Mark Schwalm, age 53, of Grayling, formerly of Battle Creek, died in Grayling on Sunday, October 1, 2006 after a long bout with ill health. Mark was born October 3, 1952 in Battle Creek to Robert F. and Margaret A. (Smith) Schwalm. He was a 1970 graduate of Harper Creek High School. He worked as a pressman at Post Cereals in Building 17 in Battle Creek for 17 years, retiring in the mid-1980''s. His marriage to Corliss Jean "Corky" Trine ended in divorce.Mark moved to Grayling in 1994 from Battle Creek, and has lived there since. Mark enjoyed hunting and fishing. The last few years, he most enjoyed any time he could spend with his grandchildren. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Mandy Schwalm of Battle Creek; 2 grandchildren, Travis and Emily Schwalm; his mother, Margaret A. Fitch of Clearwater, FL; his father and step-mother, Robert F. and Maxine Schwalm of Battle Creek; 2 sisters, Carol (Gordon) Casey of Hastings and Margaret (Michael) Bradley of Clearwater, FL; nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Robert Fitch. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 9, at 11AM at Craig K.
