Robert E. McNally

Robert E. McNally, 93, of Battle Creek MI, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Bickford Cottage. He was born to Charles and Lucille (Street) McNally in Purdin MO in 1928. He graduated from Albion College, where he met the love of his life, wife Lois (O’Donnell). He owned Battle Creek Motor Parts from 1951 to 1988.  He was a past president of the MI Automotive Wholesalers and the National Automotive Service Industry Association, and was a long-time member of the Battle Creek Country Club. After retirement, he and Lois spent 15 years in Las Cruces NM, moving back to Battle Creek in 2004. He will be remembered as always having a big smile, and a positive and supportive attitude for everyone who knew him.

He was predeceased by his parents, wife, and sister Leta Black. He is survived by his sister Reta (Charles) Frew, son Lon (Julie), daughter Laura (Ross) Elliott, 4 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 2838 Capital Ave SW, Battle Creek, MI 49015, on Friday May 13 at 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made to the American Lung Association or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
