Robert Champion Lancaster, 58, of Marshall, passed away on October 3, 2022 in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Rob was born August 25, 1964 to Coleman and Ruth (Champion) Lancaster in Birmingham, AL. He was a graduate of Needham B. Broughton High School, Class of 82. Rob very proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a Quality Manager over 20 years, most recently at EOI Pioneer Inc. On April 26, 2014, Rob married Anna Johnson and they lived in Marshall, Michigan.
Of his many interests, Rob was a member of American Legion, Free Masons, and 1st North Carolina Calvary, Co. He was involved in Civil War Reenactment, and included his children who have many fond memories of participating along with him. Rob was a major history buff, and military history enthusiast. He loved watching old classic movies while sharing popcorn with his favorite little buddy, his dog Beau, watching Ghost Hunters and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Rob is survived by his loving wife, Anna; daughter, Rachel E. Lancaster of Marshall, MI; two sons, Stuart C. Lancaster of Kennesaw, GA, and Corey A. Lancaster of Princeton, NC; three step daughters, Lauren E. (Jon Varley) Murphy of Phoenix, AZ, Sabrina N. Heath of Dowagiac, MI, and Brianna M. Heath of Quakertown, PA; two step sons, Michael S. Murphy of Jackson, MI and David M. (Britney) Murphy of Battle Creek, MI; brother, C. Harrison (Dawn) Lancaster, Jr. of Louisburg, NC. He was preceded in death by parents.
Services have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068, where visitation will be held Monday, October 17, 2022, from 11:00am -12:00pm and the funeral service will begin at 12:00pm, Pastor Steve Olmstead, officiating. A private committal service will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
