RICHARD C. WAIDELICHRichard C. "Dick" Waidelich, age 83, of Marshall died Monday, May 15, 2006 at Tendercare of MarshallHe was born on August 11, 1922, in Marshall to Adolph and Bertha (Rastatt) Waidelich.Richard was self-employed as a contractor for most of his life. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, farming, and being a Marshall sports fan. But most of all, he enjoyed his family.He was a U.S. Marine during World War II, and was stationed on Okinawa, Guadalcanal, Australia, and New Zealand.Richard was a member of Marshall Electric Light and Water Board for 25 years.He married Valdene Eisenhauer on February 10, 1945.Surviving are his wife Valdene, his daughter Beth (Robert) Meyer, his grandchildren Melissa (Jason) Karaba, Ryan (Heather) Meyer, his great-grandchildren Gavin and Ava Karaba, and Jacob Meyer.Richard was the 8th born of 11 children. All of his siblings preceded him in death A memorial service to celebrate Dick''s life will be held at 2:30P.M. on Friday, May 19, at Marshall United Methodist Church where he had been an active member for 56 years .
