Richard Wesley Gregerson was born at Oaklawn Hospital on November 13th, 1925 to Jacob and Eva (Rimmer) Gregerson. He grew up in Marshall, graduating from Marshall High School with honors in 1943. Richard then served in the United States Army for 3 years during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in Fort Monmouth, NJ attending radar repair school and became a radar instructor. He remained thankful all his life to his Marshall High School math teacher, Miss Ruth Ann Erskine, for encouraging him to study and excel in math. His high math scores gave him the opportunity to become an instructor rather than a casualty of war. He was honorably discharged from the army in 1951.Over the years, Richard was employed by Woodlin Metal, Eaton Corporation, Kendall Hardware, EPCO, S.H.
