Raymond Euzelus McCurdy, 67, of Springfield, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on March 15, 1954 to Frank and Barbara (Bucklind) Ashba in Lima, Ohio.

Raymond was a longtime mechanic in the Battle Creek area. Raymond loved to race cars at Butler Speedway. He was always working on anything mechanical as he was part-owner with his son at Honest Engines. He will be missed by his best friend Piggy. Above all else he loved his family and especially being a Great Grandfather as he truly believed they are GREAT!

Raymond is survived by his children; Maggie (Andrew) Clark of Springfield, Michigan, Adista L. Bounds of Springfield, Michigan and Raymond (Pennie) E. McCurdy of Springport, Michigan; his grandchildren; Chris (Lindsey) Villapando of Springfield, Michigan parents to Jeremiah, Markus and Octavia; Anna McCurdy parent to Greyson, Kingston, Paul Vasquez, Marissa Vasquez, Aurora Vasquez, Garrett Frederick, Trey Clark, Cylas Clark and Domanyk McCurdy, his siblings; Larry (Lisa) McCurdy of Cable, Ohio and Kelly (TJ) Wilson of Lima, Ohio and his ex-wife, Luella M. Huggett of Springfield, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Raymond’s Life will take place Sunday, May 15, 2022 beginning at 12:00 Noon at Clarence Township Hall, 27052 R Drive N  Albion, Michigan 49224.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
