Ola Rogers, 91, of Homer, died on Thursday, November 28, 2013, at the Schaffer Adult Foster Care home in Battle Creek.Mrs. Rogers was born on May 24, 1922, in Litchfield, to George and Valeria (Flenar) Burk. She graduated from Litchfield High School. On August 12, 1940, she married William J. Rogers, and he preceded her in death in July 2001.Mrs. Rogers was a home maker staying home to raise her family. She was an active member of the Jehovah's Witnesses in the Homer, Albion, and Marshall Area. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, embroidery, and spending time with her family.She is survived by her sons, William (Rhonda) Rogers of Battle Creek, Daniel (Carol) Rogers of Belmont, three grandchildren, Diane (Bill) Cryenne, of Alberta, Canada, Neissa (Tyler) McIntyre of Battle Creek, Jeffery (Barbara) Rogers of Dowling, seven great-grandchildren, and a sister Dorothy Smith of Coldwater. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two granddaughters, Carmen McManus, and Amy Kendall.A memorial service will be held at the Kingdome Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Albion on Saturday, December 7, 2013, with Mr. Kurt Butler officiating. A private interment took place on Sunday, December 1, 2013, at the Whig Cemetery, in Butler Township, with Mr. Mark Davids officiating. Family requests memorial contributions be made to Worldwide Work through the Jehovah's Witnesses. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Funeral Home.
