Nicholas Allen Milbourn

January 4, 1980 — April 6, 2023

Battle Creek

Nicholas Allen Milbourn, we are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Nick on April 6, 2023, at the age of 43. His big smile, infectious laugh, goofiness, and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all that knew him.  We are devastated by this loss and are completely unprepared.

Nick was born on January 4, 1980 in Lansing, Michigan to parents Matthew Allen Milbourn, and Kristine (Moon) Morris. He shared his childhood with his three brothers. He attended Olivet High School and was self-employed most of his life. Nick enjoyed metal music and began performing his music with his brothers in the basement of their childhood home as a teenager. They continued this passion into their adult lives. He loved tinkering with engines, and riding on his many "toys" throughout his life. Some of his favorite places included the Ledges at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge and hanging out at the family home on Pine Lake, where he learned to swim, fish, and water ski.

Nick is survived by his father Matt, formerly of Bellevue, his mother Kris and step father Jeff Morris, of Olivet; three brothers, Jason (Jessica) Milbourn of Louisiana, Trever (Sara) Milbourn of Bellevue, Andrew Wischmeyer and fiancé Stevie Linnabary of Bellevue; step brother, Ryan (fiancé, Emily Oliverio) Morris of Battle Creek; and his best friend and life partner, Gina Dean of Battle Creek. His five children, Kendra Grimm, Malakhi Milbourn, Erik Afton, Shon Afton, and Joshua Ferris; and stepson, Damian Campbell. Nick leaves behind 18 nieces and nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, Carroll and Margaret “Peggy” Moon of Olivet, and John and Sharon Milbourn, formerly of Bellevue.

Services have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 2838 Capital Ave SW, Battle Creek, MI 49015. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be announced and held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to his mother to help his children and family during this difficult time.
