Missy Cavender

Michelle "Missy" Cavender, 52, of Homer, passed away suddenly at home on March 26, 2022.

She was born on September 11, 1969, to Roy Cavender and Jane (Reed) Nearnberg in Coldwater, MI. Missy was a graduate at Homer High School, Class of 1987, and continued life in her hometown.  She worked in Produce at Meijer’s for nearly 20 years.

Missy enjoyed playing softball and was very dedicated in her role as an assistant softball coach. She worked side by side with Mackenzee in all aspects of her 4H Swine Club duties like care, cleaning, training, etc. She loved going on random back road jeep rides all over the county. But more than anything, Missy loved her family, friends, and nieces!

Missy is survived by her fiancé, Paul Dogan of Homer; daughter, Mackenzee Morris of Tekonsha and step daughter, Mikayla Dogan of Marshall; brother, Rory (Lisa) Cavender of Homer, MI and many, many wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by mother, Jane Nearnberg and father, Roy Lee Cavender.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 303 S Hillsdale St, Homer, Michigan, 49245.
