Michelle T. (Taylor) Hazel

Michelle Taylor Hazel, 61 of Marshall passed away on November 14, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. Michelle was born on November 1, 1961 in Marshall to John R. and Margaret (Tucker) Taylor.

Michelle graduated from Marshall High School in 1980, and then earned an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Kellogg Community College. She was employed by Dr. Lane C. Stumpos DDS in Albion for 34 years where she made lasting relationships with her patients and coworkers.

Michelle was an active member of East Eckford Community Church, facilitating Missions distributions for the past 10 years. Michelle enjoyed gardening, traveling, sewing and crafting. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren.

Michelle married Michael Earl Hazel on June 18, 1983 and celebrated 34 years of marriage before Michael passed away in January 2018. On July 20, 2022, Michelle married Walter Jeryc. While their time together was short, it was full of joy and happiness, including the addition of five families and eleven grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters, Molly (Robert) Skrodenis, Morgan (Jesse) Baylis; five grandchildren, Terrell, Hannah, Monica, Henry, and Harrison; parents, John and Margaret Taylor; sisters, Velvet (Vic) Potter and Julie (John) Eyerman; and many nieces and nephews.

Services have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 3:00pm and continue until the Memorial Service begins at 6:00pm, Pastor Ralph McCarty officiating.
