Michelle Dana Hawkins

Michelle Dana Hawkins, age 55, of Homer, MI, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 2, 2023. Michelle was born in Jackson, MI, on February 7, 1967, the daughter of Michael Vaughn and Nanci (Pelham) Prezioso. She was united in marriage with Jay Hawkins; who survives her. Michelle worked on Barton Farms, where she loved caring for the animals and connecting with the community. She enjoyed camping and playing golf. She loved Christmas and giving gifts to family and friends. She was very supportive of her son and daughter-in-law and their adventures completing several AuSable river canoe marathons. She loved her family and adored her grandson, Jack.

Michelle is survived by her husband, Jay Hawkins; children, Chelsea (Atam Singh) Davis and Michael (Rebecca) Davis; grandson, Jack Davis; mother, Nanci (Fred) Prezioso and father, Michael (Brenda) Vaughn; grandmother, Alice Pelham; sister and brother, Brandi Feldkamp and Cooper Vaughn; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Michelle’s life will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 303 S Hillsdale St, Homer, MI 49245.
