Michael "Mike" Lynn Hayes

Michael “Mike” Lynn Hayes, 72, of Marengo Township, Michigan, passed away on Sunday morning, June 11, 2023 at Rose Arbor Hospice.

Mike was born in Albion, Michigan on June 9, 1951, the son of Frederick W. and Margaret (Curtis) Hayes. He graduated from Harper Creek High School in 1970. Mike owned and operated Qualtek Inc. in Marshall with his family for many years.

He was a kind man who was always helping others. He loved spending time with his family, sneaking cookies and ice cream to his grandchildren, planting his vegetable garden in the spring, and tinkering in the garage.

Mike is survived by his three daughters, Michele Hayes, Danielle Nelson, and Heather (Richard) Ransom; six grandchildren, Calista, Devin, Alexia, Xavier, Riley, and Gunner; two of his brothers, Sid and Robin (Cindy) Hayes; sister, Peggy Milhoan; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kim (Cuyler) Hayes, his parents, and a brother, Fred L. Hayes.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, Michigan 49068.
