Michael E. Ryan

Michael Eugene Ryan, age 77, of Marshall, died on Thursday afternoon, April 29, 2010 at Oaklawn Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mike was born January 26, 1933 in Fenner Corners near Casonovia, New York at home to Michael Edward and Mary Elizabeth (McCarthy) Ryan. He graduated from high school in Casonovia. He entered service in the U.S. Army on March 8, 1955. Mike trained as a paratrooper and was sent to study Russian at the Army Language School in Monterey, California. He was stationed in Japan from where he would be flown to Russia to serve as a translator. He was honorably discharged on Feb. 12, 1958. Mike met his wife to be, Jacqueline C. Warren on a night out with friends. She would not give him the "time of day
