Melissa Kay Hallock Houldsworth

MELISSA KAY HOULDSWORTH Melissa Kay (Sebring) Hallock Houldsworth, age 41, of Homer, returned home to her Lord Wednesday night, March 29, 2006 at her home with her family and faithful dog Cassie by her side. Melissa was born July 1, 1964 . She was the daughter of David L. and Beverly (Minor) Sebring. Melissa attended and graduated from Marshall Public Schools. She was married on Jan. 16, 1999 in Marshall to Ronald T. Houldsworth . Her first marriage to Jeff Hallock ended in divorce. She worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Marshall until her health failed her. Melissa had also worked at several area motels. Melissa enjoyed watching her boys race their four-wheelers. She enjoyed sewing, time with family, and her dogs. In earlier years, she was a member of 4-H. Surviving Melissa are her husband Ron of Homer, her 3 sons, Greg Hallock, Tyler Hallock, and Justin Hallock; her mother, Beverly Sebring , father and step-mother, David L. and Lillian Sebring , and sister Rebekah Sebring all of Marshall. She was preceded in death by her brother David L. Sebring Jr. . Services will be held on Sunday, April 2, at 3PM at Lyon Lake United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Mitchell officiating. Committal will be in Lyon Lake Cemetry. The family suggests that those who wish may make memorial contributions to Jackson/Oaklawn Hospice or American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home, where assistance with memorials is available.
