Melissa L. (Wilcox) France

Melissa L. France, 56, of Marshall died on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Oaklawn Hospital following a short illness.

Melissa was born on November 14, 1965, in Coldwater to Frank and Sandy (Thrasher) Wilcox.  She graduated from High School in Indiana and attended Ball State University.

Melissa was currently working at Oaklawn Hospital in the Dietary Department for the past 17 years. Prior to that she worked at Red Lobster in Battle Creek. Melissa enjoyed coloring, watching Disney, playing cards and board games. She loved spending time with her family and pets especially her cats.

She is survived by her children Christopher (Sammi) Wilcox, Zachary (Katie Peyton) France, Alexander (Lairyn Shepherd) France; her father Frank (Ann) Wilcox; siblings Chris (Cate) Wilcox and Paula (Ron) Asher. She was preceded in death by her mother; a brother Frank Wilcox; special family Bill and Veda Herrin; Marty Wilcox; Mable Wilcox.

A memorial celebration for Melissa will take place on Saturday April 23, 2022 from 2:00 until 5:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall, MI 49068.
