Mary M. Hall, age 77, of Marshall, died at her home in the loving care of her family on Monday morning, May 15, 2006. Mary was born Oct. 27, 1928 in Patterson, New Jersey to Vance F. and Merle (Madden) McIntyre. She moved to Mason, Michigan with her family when she was a child. She graduated from Mason High School in 1946, then attended Michigan State University where she earned a B.A. in education. She taught school in Royal Oak for the 1950-51 school year, then taught in Ypsilanti schools from 1951 to 1954. She was married on June 22, 1951 in Mason to Theodore Worden "Ted" Hall. The couple have lived in Marshall since June of 1954, where Dr. Hall had a dental practice until his retirement. She was a member of Marshall First Presbyterian Church. Mary belonged to the Marshall Country Club, and Crystal Down Country Club, and the American Association of University Women. She liked to play tennis and bridge, and tolerated golfing! Surviving are her husband Dr. Theodore "Ted" Hall; their daughters, Laura (William) Ipe of South Bend, Indiana and Marcia (Thomas) Carbone of Grosse Pointe; her sister in law Verla McIntyre of Henderson,NC; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Gordon McIntyre and Vance McIntyre Jr. . Friends may call at Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6PM to 8PM, where the family will be present to greet friends and share memories. Funeral services to celebrate and remember her life will be held on Thursday at 11AM at Kempf Funeral Home with Rev. Seth Weeldreyer officiating. The family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to Jackson/Oaklawn Hospice or the Fountain Clinic. Assistance with memorials available at Kempf Funeral Home.
