From 1987 to 2000, she volunteered for the various Battle Creek balloon competitions and air shows as the Chairperson for the Arts and Crafts Committee.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Moira Cawthon and brother, Paul Cawthon. She is survived by her husband, George “Ed” Funk; son, Kevin (Jeanette) Funk; and brothers, James (Connie) Cawthon and Bruce (Suzanne) Cawthon.

Marsha enjoyed traveling, reading, word puzzles and golf. She also thoroughly enjoyed her time with friends and relatives in Michigan and where she wintered as a snowbird in Florida.
