Marlyn J. Thomas, 82 of Homer died on Monday February 8, 2021 at her home.
Marlyn was born on September 10, 1938 in Homer Township to Earl and Beatrice (Kleist) Sharp. She graduated from Homer High School in 1956. In 1957 she married Phillip Thomas in Homer. He preceded her in death in 1987.
Marlyn started working at State Farm in Marshall, followed by several different businesses in Homer. She then retired from S & E Cordage in 2001. She was a member of the Homer Fire Bells. Marlyn was an avid bowler. She enjoyed knitting and doing yard work. Marlyn loved spending time on her porch talking to the neighbors, walking the family pets around the neighborhood, but she especially enjoyed time shared with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Bryan (Michele) Thomas and Kevin Thomas; two grandchildren, Kristin Thomas and Mitchell Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter Lauren Thomas; siblings Ron Sharp, Bob Sharp, Helen Campbell, and Alberta Crandall.
A private family service will take place at Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
