Marjorie “Marge” A. Robinson, 89, of Marshall passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022 in Marshall.

She was born on December 21, 1932 to Frank and Ann (Perla) Rodman in Kingsford, Michigan. Marge was a 1951 graduate of Kingsford High School.

On January 11, 1975 she married Guy Robinson at their home in Ceresco, sadly he passed away on November 9, 2014.

Marge began her business career at Michigan Bell Telephone Company in Iron Mountain, Michigan as a Service Representative in the commercial office. After moving to the Battle Creek area, she worked as an Administrative Assistant in the General Counsel’s office at the Federal Civil Defense Administration in Battle Creek. Marge retired from the Kellogg Company on August 6, 1993, after 20 years of service. Most of her years were spent in Corporate Human Resources and four years in Quality Assurance.

She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Ladies Auxiliary, Military Order of the Purple Heart, former member of the Battle Creek Sweet Adelines and sang in a quartet, former member of the Marshall Country Club and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Battle Creek.

Marge enjoyed reading, cooking, and gardening. She volunteered her time between VA Medical Center in Battle Creek, mobile meals in Marshall and at the Charitable Union in Battle Creek. She and her husband Guy loved to travel, especially to Europe, where Prague in the Czech Republic was one their favorite cities. They also traveled to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Eastern Europe, the Far East, Hong Kong, Tokyo, China and Italy.

She is survived by her children; Brad Haskins, Jodi Haskins, Karen (Tony) Giannelli and David W. Robinson, her grandchildren; Allison (Nicholas) Rose, Kristen (Troy) Maran, Lauren (Matt) Hanson and Charles W. (Kristen) Robinson, her nine great grandchildren; and her brother; Bill Rodman.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband Guy, her parents; and her two brothers.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.

Visitation for Marge will take place on Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, Michigan 49068. A private family service and burial will take place at a later date at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.
