Marjorie Angela (Cousino) McComb

Marjorie Angela McComb, 79, of Marshall, Michigan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

She was born on August 9, 1942 to Roger and Dorothy (Garver) Cousino in Olivet, Michigan.

She was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church. On May 25, 1970 she married Laurence Smith McComb in Marshall, Michigan. Sadly he passed away on March 19, 2021.Marge enjoyed watching all the students grow as she worked as a food service worker with Marshall Public Schools, retiring in 2005 after many years. Alongside Larry's Shaw Shoe Store, Marge owned and operated McComb Shoes for Kids in Marshall for 3 years. She had many fond memories of her time as a waitress for the Fireside Inn in Marshall.
Her greatest love and joy were her grandchildren, she absolutely adored and spoiled them. Marge was a very gracious and giving person, always thinking of others. She enjoyed crafting, ceramics and collecting costume jewelry of which she would turn into art pieces. Marge was a true homemaker as she loved to cook and bake, you never left her house hungry or without a loaf or two of her bread. She also enjoyed tending to her garden and sharing the bounty.

Marge is survived by her sons; Greg (Chris) McComb of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Mitch (Becki) McComb of Delton, Michigan, her step-daughters; Mary Ellen (Bucky) Hopkins of Homer, Michigan and Linda (Dan) Ames of Denton, Texas, her grandchildren; Ashten (Andre Glover), Spencer (Abby Trent), Daniel, Wyatt, Cady and Sawyer; .

She was preceded in death by her husband; Laurence; her parents; her step-sons; Christopher McComb and Larry McComb, Jr, her 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Visitation for Marge will take place on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Ft. Custer National Cemetery .
