Marilyn Lou Hall, 84, of Dowling, MI passed away on December 19, 2021, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. She was born on July 10, 1937, to Lloyd and Irene (Sutherland) Corkins in Battle Creek. Marilyn was a graduate of the Battle Creek Central High School Class of 1955 and lived in Battle Creek most all her life. She married her loving husband, John Frederick Hall who preceded her in death in 1988. While her husband was in the Air Force, Marilyn joyfully worked the noon hour at Springfield Elementary School, and worked for Kellogg Cereal Company, The Bread Store, area Photo Booths, The Federal Center and Arlene’s Truck Stop, but considered her responsibilities as a Homemaker most fulfilling.
She was a very passionate woman of faith, strong in the Lord and past member of Olive Street Friends Church. Marilyn dearly loved her family, and enjoyed crafting of all kinds, gardening both flowers and vegetables, macrame, painting, wallpapering, decorating her home, vacation with family and spoiling her grandkids.
Marilyn is survived by four daughters, Tammy Jo (Gary) Knauss of Dowling, MI, Cindy Lou Vandeburg of Battle Creek, MI, Laura Ann Hall of Battle Creek, MI and Kathryn Janine (Dennis) Yesh of Colon, MI; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by granddaughter, April Renee Hall; brother, Alfred Wayne Corkins; sister, Glenna May NcNiel, nephew, Robert A Burghdoff.
