Margaret Ann Weisbaum, 99, of Marshall, passed away on April 29, 2024, at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Michigan.
She was born on April 14, 1925, to Eugene and Dorothy (Owens) Combs in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Lapeer High School in 1943. On August 20, 1945, Margaret and Donald Weisbaum were married in Battle Creek, Michigan. They were together for almost 50 years until his passing on June 12, 1995.
Margaret was a member of the Marshall Historical Society and helped with house tours. She was a collector; Margaret especially enjoyed the thrill of finding something exciting at Goodwill. Along with her sister Janet, Margaret loved to travel, visit casinos, and collect seashells in Florida. Margaret was friendly, warm, and able to chat with and make friends with anyone. Many people thought of her as their "adopted" grandmother.
Margaret is survived by her two sons, John Weisbaum of Marshall, Michigan and Charles Weisbaum of Birmingham, Michigan; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and her sister, Janet Bannister of Long Lake, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald and her parents.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, June 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service following at 12:00 p.m. at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US HWY 27 N. Marshall, Michigan 49068
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
