Lorena Faye (Lucas) Neighbors

Lorena Faye Neighbors, 83, of Vicksburg, Michigan passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Centrica Care Hospice Residence in Battle Creek, Michigan.

She was born on October 10, 1939 to Augustus and Marie (Branson) Lucas-Cates in Beattyville, Kentucky.

On January 14, 1958, Lorena married Thomas Neighbors in Auburn Heights, Michigan, sadly he passed away on February 9, 2014.

Lorena was a devoted homemaker and so loved being with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching and shopping on QVC. Tending to her flower gardens was one of her favorite things to do.

Lorena is survived by her children, Debra (Michael) Redmond of Southfield, Michigan, Duane Thomas Neighbors of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Deanna Asbel of Brighton, Michigan, her eight grandchildren, Lucas Redmond, Erin Redmond, Corey (Jacqui) Redmond, Mickey (Abby) Redmond, Alexandra  Neighbors, Nicolas Neighbors, Joseph (Aris) Asbel, Cassandra (Brian) Armstrong; She is also survived by her 12 great grandchildren and her sister, Sue Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Thomas Neighbors.

A private Celebration of Life service for Lorena will be held at a later.
